A Bedtime Story

Sitting here in the hot tub my mind spins the way the circle spins on my computer when there isn’t a good enough signal. I’m think about bedtime stories. The fairytales we are told and tell our children about the land far away with a beautiful princess is awaiting her prince. The young man who swiftly arrives and the world becomes colorful and happily ever after is ever more.

Can this little change give our children a more realistic view of what real love looks like so that maybe as adults, they stop looking for the greener grasses that are not so green after all?
